Polyommatus (Agrodiaetus) fulgens is a species of butterfly in the Lycaenidae family. It is found in the north and north-east of Spain.,[1]

The wingspan is about 29 mm.[2] Adults are on wing from July to August.

The larvae feed on Onobrychis viciifolia and other Onobrychis spp.

Subspecies or varities

  • Polyommatus fulgens fulgens (north-east Iberian Peninsula, Spain)
  • Polyommatus fulgens ainsae Forster, 1961 (north Iberian Peninsula, Spain)

The taxon ainsae was treated as a full species by some authors but molecular studies have demonstrate that it's the same species that the taxon "fulgens".
