Polish Left

The Polish Left (Polish: Polska Lewica) is a newly formed left-wing political party in Poland.

Formation of Polish Left was announced on September 20, 2007 by former Prime Minister Leszek Miller, who said the new party will be a "true leftist" alternative for coalition Left and Democrats. Miller and many members, who left main LiD party - Democratic Left Alliance (Miller was a head of DLA for many years) in protest against the party's leader's policies, which they regarded as not left-wing enough.

Miller is a leader of newly formed Party. Other prominent members are former Secretary General of DLA Marek Dyduch and former Sejm Member Krzysztof Jagiełło.
