Polasara is a town and a notified area committee in Ganjam district in the Indian state of Odisha.
Geography
Polasara is located at 19°42′N 84°49′E / 19.7°N 84.82°E.[1] It has an average elevation of 66 metres (216 feet).
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[2] Polasara had a population of 19,566. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Polasara has an average literacy rate of 53%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 63%, and female literacy is 43%. In Polasara, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
