Pohamba Penomwenyo Shifeta (born 27 March 1968 in Ongenga, Ohangwena Region) is a Namibian politician and member of Cabinet. He has been active in SWAPO-led National Union of Namibian Workers and Namibia National Students Organisation since 1988. He earned a bachelor's degree in political science at the University of Namibia in 1996. He has also been involved in the SWAPO Party Youth League.[1]

Political Career

Shifeta is a member of the National Assembly of Namibia since 2005, on a SWAPO ticket. At the time of his election to the National Assembly, Shifeta was chosen as the Deputy Minister of Youth, National Service, Sport and Culture. He retained his position after the 2009 general election. Following a Cabinet reshuffle in December 2012, after the fifth SWAPO congress, Shifeta was deployed as Deputy of Jerry Ekandjo in the Ministry of Youth, National Service, Sport and Culture.[2]
