Pleinfeld is a municipality in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district, in Bavaria, Germany. Pleinfeld it's the biggest town at the Lake Brombach. The Twin Town is Killarney in Ireland. The village lies on the Great Brombachsee, besides Gunzenhausen the main tourist destination in the Franconian Lake District, and is the largest town on the Great Brombachsee. Viewed from the north Pleinfeld is considered the gateway to the park Altmühltal. Pleinfeld flows through the Swabian Rezat.
