Location
Plain was a rural community four miles east of Tadmor in the Davy Crockett National Forest in eastern Houston County, Texas.
History
Plain was founded in the 1880s. A school was opened around 1888, and a post office was established from 1902-1905. In the mid-1930s Plain was a small community including a church and a number of houses. By World War II, many residents moved away. Today, only a church and a few houses remain.[1]
