Pitobash Tripathy (Oriya: ପୀତବାସ) is a Hindi film actor, originally from the state of Orissa,[1] India. He is known for his role in the movies I Am Kalam and Shor in the City.
Early life & Education
Pitobash was born in Deuli, Malisahi, Nayagarh, Orissa to an Oriya Brahmin family. He is the youngest among his 3 brothers and 2 sisters. His mother is a Retd. school teacher and his father worked for the Agriculture department. One of his brother is Hrusikesh Tripathy who is famous as T.Hrusikesh in the Oriya literature writing field. T.Hrusikesh is writings include varied kinds of Oriya poem, short story, novel, lyrics etc. Also T.Hrusikesh is an actor,made his debut through Oriya TV serials' like Panatakani, Pratibimba & Bhagyabidhata etc., broadcast in ETV Oriya Television channel.
Pitobash was brought up in Bhubaneswar where he completed his schooling from Government High School, Unit 1, Bhubaneswar. Then, he joined Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar College, Bhubaneswar for his higher secondary education.[2] He has completed Bachelor of Technology degree in 2005 from Government College of Engineering & Leather Technology [3] in Leather Technology from Kolkata. He also hold his diploma in acting from the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India,[4] which helped him a lot.
Tripathy was honored "National Balshree Award" from the president of India in the field of creative performance at the age of 12. He was also involved in theater in Kolkata.[citation needed][5][6] in 2007. Later on, he joined Bollywood as an actor.[7]
Career
Tripathy started acting as a debutant with the movie 99.[8] He then performed in 3 Idiots in a supporting role. Later, he acted in I Am Kalam directed by Nila Madhab Panda and Shor in the City.[9][10][11] He also acted in the movie Mirch in five different roles. Some of the other movies he has acted are Joker, Aalaap'Shanghaiand Once upon a time in Mumbai again(2013).[12]
