From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pithla bhakri is a vegetarian[1] traditional[2] Indian food preparation. It belongs to the state of Maharashtra.[3][4] The pithla has a semi-solid consistency and is made from chick pea flour and is eaten with bhakri.[5] It has been described as food eaten by peasants.[5] It is accompanied by kharda or thecha.[5][6] According to Meeta Deshpande writing in The Indian Express, pithla bhakri is an inseparable part of a Sinhagad trek.[4]
