Piozzano is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Piacenza in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 150 km northwest of Bologna and about 20 km southwest of Piacenza. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 714 and an area of 43.5 km².[1]
The municipality of Piozzano contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Groppo Arcelli, Vidiano Soprano, Pomaro, San Gabriele, San Nazaro, Monteventano, Montecanino, and Canova.
Piozzano borders the following municipalities: Agazzano, Bobbio, Gazzola, Pecorara, Pianello Val Tidone, Travo.
