Pingshan New District is an industrial and technology development area in a district of Longgang District, Shenzhen city, Guangdong province, People's Republic of China.[1][2]

History

The new district was established on June 30, 2009 by the Shenzhen municipal government.[1][3] This new district superseded the old plan which was initiated back in 1994 and began construction in 1997.[1]

Geography

The new district covers an area of 168 square kilometres. Pingshan New District is situated in the north-eastern part of Shenzhen city. Its next to Huizhou City in the east.[4]
