Pim Jacobs

Willem Bernard (Pim) Jacobs (October 29, 1934-July 3, 1996) was a Dutch jazz pianist and television presenter. Born in Hilversum, he worked with Louis van Dijk and Rogier van Otterloo also Wes Montgomery. He married jazz singer Rita Reys in 1960.

Jacobs became famous with the Pim Jacobs Trio, which included Wim Overgaauw, Ruud Jacobs and Peter Ypma. Later he played with Louis van Dijk and Pieter van Vollenhoven called "Winged friends for charity". He was also known as host of the music programmes Music-All-In and Music Hall, and the game show Babbelonië.

Pim Jacobs died of cancer, in Tienhoven (Maarssen).
