Pilot PMR is an award-winning public relations agency based in the St. Lawrence neighbourhood in downtown Toronto, Canada, near the city’s historic Distillery District.   • Alex Mangiola: Vice President. Alex began his career working for several newspapers throughout Ontario, including The Windsor Star, Chatham Daily News, Guelph Mercury and Simcoe Reformer. His first forays into marketing included representing Cuban state companies such as Habanos and Cubanacan in Canada, as well as several Ontario government clients like the Ontario Human Rights Commission, Ontario Tourism and the Ontario Ministry of Research and Innovation. Alex has worked extensively in Toronto’s not-for-profit sector for clients such as United Way of Toronto, Woodgreen Community Services, Ontario Association of Food Banks, East Scarborough Boys and Girls Club, as well as the recently formed Addictions and Mental Health Ontario. His is an active member of the Maytree Foundation’s DiverseCity Voices, a group of subject matter experts from under-represented ethnic or racial groups designed to enrich the quality of print, radio and television news in Toronto.
  • Lucy Leiderman: Director, Digital Strategy. Lucy is a graduate of the University of Toronto St. Michael’s College (HBA) in Toronto, Canada and Uppsala Universitet (MA) in Uppsala, Sweden. She is an author published by Dundurn Press and has contributed pieces to the Huffington Post, Business Insider, and other online publications. Prior to working with communications agencies, she consulted with non-governmental organizations such as the Atlantic Council of Canada, the G8 Research Group, and the NATO Defense College. She is also a Certified Scrum Master, specializing in facilitating complex projects.
  • Robert Furtado: Account Director. Robert has worked in journalism and as a speechwriter in the Government of Ontario under former Premier Dalton McGuinty. Robert is a part-time faculty member at the Humber College School of Media Studies and Information Technology.
  • Anne-Marie Denault: Video Producer/Director. Anne-Marie is a video producer, director and professional researcher from Montreal, Canada. She has worked on television series for Ici Radio Canada télé, campaigns, and in short films for Kino. Anne-Marie has produced crisis simulations films with the Health Ministry of Quebec and Social Services. She is also a published researcher on matters of public health and crisis management in l’État du Québec, Éditions du Boréal. She has worked at CINBIOSE, a research group and partner of the World Health Organization and the Pan American Health Organisation, and has a degree in business management from McGill University and a master’s in communications from the Université du Québec à Montréal.
