From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pierre Aubry (14 February 1874 – 31 August 1910) was a French musicologist who specialized in the music of the 13th century. He is particularly known for analyzing, collecting, and publishing trouvère and troubadour songs. He also coined the term musicologie.[1] When he was found guilty of plagiarising, he contrived his own death by fencing unprotected.[2]
