Pierluigi Oliverio is the District 6 representative on the San Jose City Council. He was sworn in on March 20, 2007. Pierluigi grew up in San Jose attending K-12 public schools, and obtained his BA and Teaching Credential from San Jose State University. Prior to being elected to the San Jose City Council Pierluigi worked in the semiconductor and software industry. District 6 is home to such dynamic and active areas as the Lincoln Ave business district,The Alameda business district, West San Carlos business district, Municipal Rose Garden Park, Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum, The Billy DeFrank Center, Santana Row and Westfield Valley Fair Shopping Center.
