Phyllodesmium poindimiei is a species of sea slug, an aolid nudibranch, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Facelinidae.

Distribution

The distribution of Phyllodesmium rudmani includes Australia, New Caledonia and Hawaii.[2]

Description

The length of the slug is 12-50 mm.[2]

This species contains no zooxanthellae.[2]

Ecology

Phyllodesmium poindimiei feeds on the invasive octocoral Carijoa riisei,[2] but it cannot be used as a biocontrol of this octocoral.[2] The crab Thalamita integra is a predator of Phyllodesmium poindimiei.[2]
