Phlapphla Chai (Thai: พลับพลาชัย) is a district (Amphoe) of Buriram Province, northeastern Thailand.
Geography
Neighboring districts are (from the south clockwise) Prakhon Chai, Mueang Buriram, Krasang of Buriram Province and Prasat of Surin Province.
History
The minor district (King Amphoe) was created on April 1, 1989, when five tambon were split off from Prakhon Chai district.[1] It was upgraded to a full district on July 4, 1994.[2]
Administration
The district is subdivided into 5 subdistricts (tambon), which are further subdivided into 67 villages (muban). Phlapphla Chai is a township (thesaban tambon) which covers parts of tambon Sadao. There are also 5 Tambon administrative organizations (TAO).
