Philip "Philly" McMahon (born 5 September 1987 in Dublin) is a Gaelic football player for Dublin and Ballymun Kickhams.
Playing career
Philip was on Dublin's winning team for the 2008 O'Byrne Cup winning team which defeated Longford in the final. He made his Championship debut in same year against Louth as a sub. He played Interprovincial Championship Football for Leinster and he has won 2 Dublin Under 21 Football Championship Medals with Ballymun.[1][2] He named on the 2010 GPA team of the year.
McMahon missed out on the opportunity to win a Leinster Championship due to an injury earlier in the championship. Crokes defender O'Sullivan managed to gain a regular place in defence during his absence. McMahon made a substitutes appearance in the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final against Kerry. He came on as a substitute for defender James McCarthy in a game that he and Dublin won by a scoreline of 1-12 to 1-11.[3]
In November 2012 Philip was appointed Strength and Conditioning Coach at Shamrock Rovers.[4]
