Phil Sayer

Phil Sayer (born May 1953 in Norwich, Norfolk[1]) is a British professional voice artist. Since 2003, he has been one half of the Sayer Hamilton voice studio, in partnership with his wife, Elinor Hamilton. Previously he was a newsreader on BBC North West Tonight and a presenter on several radio stations, including Piccadilly Radio, Red Rose Radio, BBC GMR (now BBC Radio Manchester) and Smooth FM.

His voice is currently used at many British railway stations; most notably Birmingham New Street, as well as almost the entire South West Trains and Southern networks, a number of stations on the First Great Western and Northern Rail networks, for the provision of announcements regarding train arrivals, departures and cancellations or delays, as well as general information for the travelling public.
