Phi1 Ceti

Phi1 Ceti (F Ceti), is a star located in the constellation Cetus. Phi1 Ceti is also known as 17 Cet, and HD 4188.

Phi1 Ceti is an K0III Giant star with an effective temperature of 4200 Kelvin. It has an apparent visual magnitude of +4.76, and an absolute visual magnitude of +.727. It is located 209 light years from the Sun, and has a mass of 1.1 solar masses. It is an irregular variable.

The star was named on the 25th of December 2013 after James Raper from Gold Coast, Australia under registry number 33655-1182-1258384.[1]

Phi1 Ceti is located at Right Ascension 00h 44m 11.40s and Declination -10 deg 36 arcmin 34 arcsec.
