Phan Văn Khải ( listen; born December 25, 1933) was Prime Minister of Vietnam from 1997 to 2006.

Khai was born in Tan Thong Hoi Commune, Củ Chi District, Saigon, join the revolution since 1947 and moved to Hanoi in 1954. He was elected to the position on September 24, 1997, and was re-elected in August 2002. On June 24, 2006, he announced his resignation (along with President Trần Đức Lương). After the death of Võ Văn Kiệt in June 12, 2008 he is become the oldest living former Prime Minister of Vietnam.

In 2005, he became the first Prime Minister of Vietnam visit United States to meet President George W. Bush.
