Pfaudler, Inc. is an American multinational company best known for the invention of glass-coated steel, its successful commercialization and the subsequent production of storage tanks, reactors and other vessels for the brewing and chemical process industries.

Headquarters in Rochester, New York

Although at one time an independent company, Pfaudler has been acquired by a succession of holding companies. At the current time, it is part of the Process Solutions Group of National Oilwell Varco (NYSE: NOV), an American multinational public company.

Pfaudler in turn has independent locations / engineering / manufacturing facilities in Scotland, Germany, Mexico, India, South America and China.

The Rochester NY location has little interaction with other Pfaudler locations. As of late 2009, plans are to move production of some products to outside the USA, reduce workforce and shutter parts of the plant.
