Petru Racu (born 17 July 1987) is a Moldovan football player, who currently plays for FC Veris and for Moldova national team as a defender.

Career

Club career

Racu was recruited in 2007 by IFK Norrköping from FC Zimbru Chişinău. During the 2008 season, he was loaned to the Finnish club MYPA. Originally recruited as a forward, Racu has also played as a midfielder and, since the 2009 season, as a defender. In February 2012, Racu transferred to the Danish club FC Hjørring and in July 2012, he was released from the club.[2] 14th January 2013 He is currently on trial with Ipswich Town and due to play in their Under21 team against Charlton Athletic.

International career

In 2010, Racu was called up to the Moldova national football team, making his debut in a friendly match against Georgia on 11 August.

Personal life

Petru Racu is married to swedish model Mix Haxholm. She is native from Thailand, but currently lives in Sweden.[3]
