Petrove Raion (Ukrainian: Петрівський район) is a raion (district) of the Kirovohrad Oblast in central Ukraine. It covers an area of 1195 square kilometres and as of 2003 has a population of 28, 954 people. The capital lies at Petrov (Pop. 8512). The raion was established on March 7, 1923.[1]
