Petroleum Geo-Services ASA, an oilfield service company, provides geophysical services worldwide. The company provides various seismic and reservoir services, including acquisition, processing, interpretation, and field evaluation. The company is headquartered in Lysaker, Norway.

PGS was founded in Norway in 1991 with two seismic ships. Today the company operates a fleet of 12 offshore seismic vessels, including 8 Ramform vessels. It is also a supplier of seismic data processing services with 21 processing centers. Within in its 35 offices, the group employs around 2800 people.

PGS is a focused marine geophysical company with three operating units: Marine Contract, MultiClient and Data Processing and Technology.

The floating production unit was demerged in 2006 and listed as a Petrojarl ASA on Oslo Stock Exchange.
