Petro Yaroslavovych Kovalchuk (Ukrainian: Петро Ковальчук; born 28 May 1984 in Seredniy Maydan, Ukrainian SSR) is a professional Ukrainian football defender who plays in the Ukrainian Premier League for FC Chornomorets Odesa.
He joined Kryvbas from Spartak Ivano-Frankivsk in July 2007, during the summer transfer season. Kovalchuk also played then for Dniester Ovidiopol and FC Lviv.
On 1 February 2011, he signed a 1.5-year deal with Chornomorets.[1]
