Peter Franz Schweizer (born November 24, 1964) is a conservative author and a research fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution. He also serves as President of the Government Accountability Institute, a non-partisan research organization that focuses on government cronyism and corruption. [1]

His book Throw Them All Out: How Politicians and Their Friends Get Rich off Insider Stock Tips, Land Deals, and Cronyism That Would Send the Rest of Us to Prison was the subject of a feature on CBS’ 60 Minutes and Newsweek. [2]

Schweizer's book Do as I Say (Not as I Do): Profiles in Liberal Hypocrisy received praise from conservative political pundits including Bill O'Reilly. Schweizer's book Reagan's War was the basis of the documentary film In the Face of Evil. The book recounts Ronald Reagan's multi-decade struggle against Communism and credits him with winning the Cold War.

In March 2009, Schweizer and Marc Thiessen opened Oval Office Writers LLC.[3]

In March 2010, Schweizer joined the Research Advisory Council of the James Madison Institute.

On May 3, 2011, Schweizer was hired as a foreign policy adviser to former Republican Governor of Alaska and Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.[4]
