Parvez Jamil Mir (born September 24, 1953, Sutrapur, Dacca, East Pakistan) is a Pakistani TV anchorperson, a former Professional cricketer who has in the past played in the Central Lancashire Leagues for Crompton CC, and in the Bolton League for Egerton, Walkden and Kearsley Cricket Clubs. in amateur club cricket he has played for Vauxhall Mallards,Ingham,and Horsford Cricket Clubs in Norfolk

Nowadays he turns out for MCC cricketer. PJ Mir is a top journalist, he has the distinction of having interviewed presidents and prime ministers of Pakistan and other countries, including top international celebrities Mir hosts Q & A With PJ Mir from London and Lahore Studios,the first political talk show on Independent TV in Pakistan it is a popular (and controversial) current affairs talk-show on Ary NEWS. He is said to be a nawa-i-waqt pioneer of live TV transmission and of private television in Pakistan. He Heads Ary NEWS Network for UK and Europe.

Currently he is heading and Group president of Din News and Media Group Lahore. from Feb, 25th 2012.

His cricket career included three One Day Internationals for Pakistan, two of those appearances at the 1975 World Cup, as well as 80 first class matches for various teams in Pakistan and England.

He has also been the Media Manager of Pakistan's cricket team at the 2007 Cricket World Cup.
