Persis Solo (Persatuan Sepakbola Indonesia Solo) is an Indonesian football team based in Solo (Surakarta), Central Java. Persis Solo was a football club that was founded 8 November 1923 in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia by Sastrosaksono. Inception indirectly using the name Persis Solo, but still named Vorstenlandschen Voetbal Bond (VVB), a kind of association football. And in 1928, Vorstenlandsche Voetbal Bond officially renamed Persis Solo.

VVB was founded on 8 November 1923 by Sastrosaksono from Mars FC and R. Ng . Reksodiprojo and Sutarman from Romeo FC . By Soemokartiko , in 1928 the name of Persis Solo or Solo Indonesian Football Association official used to replace the name Vorstenlandsche Voetbal Bond ( VVB ) .
