Persik (an acronym for Persatuan Sepakbola Indonesia Kediri) is an Indonesian professional association football team based in Kediri, East Java, Indonesia. The club was founded in 1950. In the media, the tautology Persik Kediri is often used.

History

The club was founded in 1950 by Raden Muchamad Machin, T.H.D. Rahmat, and M. Sanusi.[1] Since the Liga Indonesia started in 1994, Persik has won twice, in 2003 and 2006 editions respectively. The club promoted to the top-tier level in the 2002. Currently they played on Liga Primer Indonesia.
