The Pendurru people are well known as kind-hearted people. A person by name Prathi Bogeswara Rao is social activist, stage artist, Kabbadi player and do many charitable activities within his reach. He is known to many people of the villages around Pendurru. His cousin Late Sri. Prathi Peddi Raju lead a very ideal life and he is also famous in that area. These two persons belong to communist party. They are known for their brevity. The village was once communist. The first village president was late Sri. Peda Mahankhala Rao Ventrapati. The first MLA of Bantumilli Mandal was the late Sri Gundabattula Anjaneyulu. Major surnames in this village are Prathi, Ventrapati, Bandaru, Chitikeni, Madasu, Boyana, Nimmala etc. Out of these surnames people with surname Prathi occupied the first place having majority of population in this village. This village also has "kammala Cheruvu" (Kammala Pond) which is quenching the thirsty of this village people.

Religion

Sankranthi festival is the main event they used to celebrate. In pongal you can see koddipandalu all over the village (Ongolu dibba, Chitikineni bazar, malapilli etc.) with everybody dressed with new pretty cloths.

This village has a famous Venkanna Swamy temple(Nandi Temple), Hanuman Temple, Ramalayam Temple (Chinna Bhadrachalam), Saibaba Temple and Nagendra Swamy Temple.
