Pelayo Novo García (born 1 November 1990 in Oviedo, Asturias), simply known as Pelayo, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Córdoba CF on loan from Elche CF as a midfielder.

Club career

Pelayo began playing with hometown's Real Oviedo, spending his first three full seasons as a senior in the third division. In his last he scored seven goals in 34 games (2,749 minutes of action) to help the Asturians finish in sixth position.

On 6 July 2012, Pelayo signed a three-year contract with Elche CF in the second level.[1] On 19 August he made his official debut, coming on as a substitute for Carles Gil in the dying minutes of a 4–2 home win against SD Ponferradina;[2] on 6 October he netted his first goal in the league, helping to a 2–1 success at CD Mirandés.[3]

In July 2013 Pelayo signed a new two-year deal with the Valencian outfit, being immediately loaned to Córdoba CF.[4]
