Pejman Montazeri (Persian: پژمان منتظری, born September 6, 1983) is an Iranian football player. He currently plays for Umm Salal SC in Qatar Stars League.[1]

Club career

He was one of the exceptionally talented players in the Foolad squad and moved to Esteghlal when Foolad relegated to the first division. He has been a regular player for the team in his first two seasons and won two cups with the team. Montazeri played for Foolad in the 2006 AFC Champions League group stage.[2] He extended his contract with Esteghlal until 2013 where he won the league title in the 2012–13 season.

International career

Pejman Montazeri was a member of Iran U-23, participating in the 2006 Asian Games. He was called to the national team for World Cup 2014 qualification and 2015 AFC Asian Cup qualification and 2012 WAFF Championship by coach Carlos Queiroz.

Personal life

His brother, Nadar Montazeri plays in the Iranian National Rugby team and his cousin, Roozbeh Madadi currently is the youngest coach in the Iranian National Football Academy in Tehran.[citation needed]
