Peckoltia multispinis is a small Peckoltia belonging to the Loricariidae family of catfish. Peckoltia multispinis also posessess the L-number L049
Description
Peckoltia multispinis grows to around 10cm, it has a black and yellow striped/mottled pattern with large black eyes.Males can be clearly identified from females by their slimmer profile and small tooth-like projections or odontodes along the flanks of the back half of the body.
Distribution
Peckoltia multispinis inhabits woody backwaters of the Rio Tocantins in the lower Amazon basin.
In the aquarium
Peckoltia multispinis requires a soft water aquarium with waters of between 23 and 27 degrees celsius and a pH of around 6.
