Pava Mannippu (Tamil: பாவ மன்னிப்பு) (English: Clemency) is a 1961 Indian Tamil language film produced by A. Bhimsingh's Buddha Pictues and starring Shivaji Ganesan, Gemini Ganesan, Savitri, Devika, M. R. Radha, T. S. Balaiah, M. N. Nambiar and S. V. Subbiah [1] The film was the first South Indian film to receive the National Film Award for Second Best Feature Film.

Plot

Three children adopted from their by birth homes and raised by foster parents grow up in Muslim, Christian and Hindu households. But will they ever reunite with their original families?

Shivaji Ganesan, Gemini Ganesan, Savitri, Devika, M. R. Radha, T. S. Balaiah, M. N. Nambiar and S. V. Subbiah co-star in this complicated melodrama about the actions of one dishonest man and the effect they have on the next generation.

Marketing

To publicise the film, producer A. V. Meiyappan had conducted contests on Radio Ceylon in 1961.[2]
