Paul Sidwell

Paul Sidwell is a Senior Lecturer in Linguistics at the Australian National University, and in 2012 was awarded the prestigious Future Fellowship status by the Australian Research Council. Sidwell is a leading specialist in Austroasiatic historical lingusitics, especially the Katuic and Bahnaric branches. Sidwell also works in forensic linguistics and phonetics.

Sidwell holds concurrent positions as Research Director at the Center for Research in Computational Linguistics (CRCL), Managing Editor of Asia-Pacific Linguistics and the Journal of the Southeast Asian Linguistics Society, and serves as an editor of the Mon-Khmer Studies Journal.
