Lawson scored twice, all of which at the Victoria Park, Dingwall, and made 28 appearances during his first season with the club. During the season, Ross County was promoted to Division One after winning the Second Division[9]
His second was frustrating for Lawson because of his own injury concerns and his contract is about to expire this season.[10] At the end of the season, Lawson would signed a one-year deal with the club.[11]

A year later, Lawson says he felt he wasn't involved in the match against them - despite coming on as a substitute in a late minutes.[13] In the Scottish Cup Final, Ross County would lose 3-0 against Dundee United. Lawson was in the final, having came on as a substitute for Steven Craig.[14]
In his fourth season, Lawson would retain his first team place and would make 27 appearance, scoring once against Partrick on 16 April 2011.
