Paul Hughes (priest)

The Ven. Paul Vernon Hughes (born 4 August 1953) is the current Archdeacon of Bedford.[1]
Hughes was educated at Moorfields School, Ghyll Royd School, Pocklington School and the Polytechnic of Central London.[2] He then trained at Ripon College, Cuddesdon from 1979-1982. After an earlier career as a Residential Property Surveyor he was ordained in 1983 and began his career in Chipping Barnet.[3] After a curacy at Chipping Barnet he was Vicar of Dunstable (1986–1993) then Boxmoor (1993–2003). He is married to Liz Hughes, who is the Chaplin of The Hospice of St. Francis, Berkhamsted.
