Paul Foster (bowls)

Paul James Foster MBE is a bowls player who lives in Troon, Scotland. Foster is also a taxi proprietor. He plays at Troon Portland (Outdoor) & Ambassador Prestwick (Indoor) bowling clubs.

Bowling career

After his World Indoor Singles Championship win in 2011, Foster now has four World Indoor Singles Championship Titles and with seven major WBT titles to his credit plus a Commonwealth Games Gold Medal in 2006 with his pairs partner, Alex Marshall. The pair went on together to win the 2011 World Indoor Pairs Championship. In 2012 he won the World Outdoor Pairs Championship with Marshall. The two have also won the World Indoor Pair in both 2011 and 2012.

Foster was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2014 New Year Honours for services to bowls.[1]
