Parveen Sultana Diti (Bengali: পারভীন সুলতানা দিতি) is a Bangladeshi film actress. She acted in both movies and TV serials. She made her acting debut in the film Dak Diye Jai in 1984. She has received many awards and praise. She won the National Film Award for Best actress for her performance in Shami Stiri. Besides acting movies, Diti is directing and acting in several number of TV plays.[1][2]

Acting career

In 1984, Diti came into the film industry involvement in the search for new faces contest. She made her acting debut with the film Dak Diye Jai (1984), directed by Udayan Chowdhury. But the film did not released at theater. Her debuted released film was Amie Ostad, directed by Ajmal Huda Mithu. In her career Diti has acted over 200 film. Alamgir and Diti firstly worked together in the movie 'Swami Stri,' directed by Subhash Dutta. By acting in that movie Diti got the national film award for the first time. They lastly worked together in the movie Char Shotin-er Ghor, which was directed by Nargis Akhter. It was released in 2005.[3] The couple, however, is now performing in a movie titled Bichar Ami Korbo under the direction of FI Manik.[4]

Personal life

Diti was born in Narayanganj district of Dhaka Division. She has a daughter Lamia and son Dipto.[5] They are studying in Canada.[6]
