Thomas Clark "Parson" Nicholson (April 14, 1863 – February 28, 1917) was an infielder in Major League Baseball during the 19th century. He was born in and grew up in Blaine, Ohio. Known as "Deacon" to his friends,[1] he played for three different teams in three seasons parsed out over a seven-year span.[2]
He played for the Toledo Mud Hens in 1889 and moved with the team when they joined the American Association for the 1890 season. For that season, they were known as the Toledo Maumees. He played one more season with the Mud Hens, in 1892.[3]
After his baseball career he owned a successful shoe repair business, and was at one time mayor of Bellaire, Ohio,[4] where he died at the age of 53. He is interred at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Bellaire.[2]
