Parseierspitze is, at 3,036 m (9,961 ft) tall, the highest mountain of the Northern Limestone Alps and the only Three-thousander of the range. The peak consists of radiolarite rocks preventing it from erosion.
Geography
The mountain is located in Austrian state of Tyrol, in the Lechtal Alps northwest of Landeck. Due to its height, is called "Queen of the Lechtal Alps". The first documented attainment of the summit was made in 1869 by the Vienna entrepreneur Joseph Anton Specht and his guide Peter Siess.
