Parnassius maximinus is a high altitude butterfly which is found in Western ranges of the Tien Shan Mountains. It is a member of the Snow Apollo genus Parnassius of the Swallowtail (Papilionidae) family. Previously it was regarded as conspecific with Parnassius delphius.
