Parkson is an Asian-based department store operator with an extensive network of 132 stores as at 30 November 2013, spanning approximately 2.1 million sqm of retail space across cities in Malaysia, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar and Sri Lanka.[1] Parkson collaborates with numerous international brands such as Polo Ralph Lauren Children, Burberry Kids, Etro, Lacoste, Timberland, La Mer, Chanel, Christian Dior and Swarovski, to offer consumers in the middle and upper-middle income segment a wide range of merchandise.
Stores in Malaysia
Parkson opened its first store at Sungei Wang Plaza in 1987. Since then, new stores have been rolled out across the country at approximately 2 stores per annum over the past 26 years. The flagship store, Parkson Pavillion, was opened in 2007.
As at 30 November 2013, Parkson has 38 stores in Malaysia.

Stores outside Malaysia
China
In 1994, Parkson opened its first department store in Beijing. Parkson is one of the first foreign department store chains to establish a presence in China.[2]
As at 30 November 2013, Parkson has an extensive network of 57 stores covering 37 major cities in China.
Vietnam
The opening of Parkson Saigon Tourist Plaza on 29 June 2005, marked the entrance of Parkson as the first truly international department store to be opened in Ho Chi Minh City. [3]
As at 30 November 2013, Parkson has 8 stores in Vietnam across 3 cities, i.e., 5 stores in Ho Chi Minh City, 1 store in Hai Phong and 2 stores in Hanoi.
Indonesia
Parkson entered the country by acquiring Centro department store network of 6 stores in 2011. The Centro network has since expanded to a total of 10 stores as at 30 November 2013.
The country's first Parkson store opened its door at Centre Point, Medan on 28 November 2013.
Myanmar
Parkson entered the country with the opening of its first store at FMI Centre, Yangoon on 11 May 2013. [4]
Sri Lanka
Parkson entered the country by acquiring a 47.46% equity stake in ODEL, Sri Lanka's leading fashion retailer listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange in 2012.[5][6][7]
As at 30 November 2013, ODEL has 17 stores located in commercial and fashion hubs across the country.[8]
