Services
Services within Parkham are limited. They include Parkham Primary School, which has a capacity of 70, and a church, which is a central pillar of the community.

Local economy
Although there is a substantial farming community around Parkham, the majority of capital is earned outside of the village. During the summer months, tourism contributes to the economy through a number of guest houses in the area. The only hotel in the village, Penhaven, is now privately owned. The Bell Inn, Parkham's only pub, is in the centre of the village. Also located within the village is the local butcher, G E Honey & Son. There is a Youth Club every Thursday in the chapel & every 2nd Friday of the month in the hall.
