Paopi
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Paopi (Coptic: Ⲡⲁⲱⲡⲉ), also known as Baba, is the second month of the Coptic calendar. It lies between October 11 and November 9 of the Gregorian calendar. The month of Paopi is the second month of the Season of 'Akhet' (Inundation) in Ancient Egypt, where the Nile floods historically covered the land of Egypt; it has not done so since the construction of the High Dam at Aswan.
The name of the month of Paopi meant 'the one of Karnak' (p3-jp.t) in the Egyptian calendar.
