Panorpida or Mecopterida is superorder of Endopterygota. Hidden accept of Panorpida include a muscle connecting a pleura and first axillary sclerite at the base of the wing. the monophyly of Panorpida is also supported by molecular data. It is hard to comment what the lifestyle was of the ancestral Panorpida.[1]
