Pankaj Jha

Pankaj Jha is an Indian actor and painter, based out of Mumbai, India. His filmography includes Black Friday, Gulaal, Chameli, Anwar and Matrubhoomi. He has also acted in the television serial, Kashi.

Though more famous for his acting roles, painting remains Jha's first love. His favourite subject for painting is nature but has mentioned in interviews that he wants to experiment with subjects like spiritualism. He prefers a mix of oil, acrylic, pen and ink for his creations. His interest in painting developed during his stay at Shantiniketan in the 1980s. He later pursued a five-year course in fine arts from Patna University, Bihar. He developed an interest in acting while working as a designer at the National School of Drama (NSD).

His solo art exhibition, No Mind’s Creation, was held at the Bliss Art Gallery, Koregaon Park, Mumbai on April 5, 2010. He mentioned that it took him nearly seven months to complete the acrylic paintings for the exhibition. On 18th and 19th May 2013, Pankaj Jha was seen in a crime show called Hum Ne Li Hai- Shapath on Life OK at 9pm. He played the character of antagonist, Jugraat.
