Pandaka is a genus of fish in the goby family, Gobiidae, native to fresh, brackish and marine waters of Asia and the western Pacific Ocean.[1] Some species in the genus are among the smallest fish in the world;[2] the male P. pygmaea can be just 9 millimeters long at maturity.[3]
The genus name is from the Sanskrit pandaka, meaning "without testicles, hermaphrodite, homosexual".[3]
