Panchlaish (Bengali: পাঁচলাইশ) is a Thana of Chittagong District in the Division of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Geography
Panchlaish is located at 22°22′00″N 91°49′30″E / 22.3667°N 91.8250°E . It has 37105 units of house hold and total area 27.45 km².
Demographics
As of 1991 Bangladesh census, Panchlaish has a population of 193357. Males constitute 59.39% of the population, and females 40.61%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 112099. Panchlaish has an average literacy rate of 59.3% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[1]
