Pance River
The Pance River is located in the southern side of Cali city and is a popular place for locals for recreation and leisure activities. It is almost the only river in the city that is not polluted and people can still swim there. The Pance River is one of the major rivers in Cali. Born in the Farallones de Cali, in the Pico Pance, which is the highest mountain in the Western Cordillera over 4000 meters. The river has over 25 km long west-east direction flowing into the river JamundÃ-turn, a tributary of the Cauca river draining a catchment area of 89.75 km2. Pance has a flow rate of 2.59 m³ / s passing through the station Comfamiliar Pance. In the initial part the waters are fast, cool and clear, showing low levels of contamination. The river is one of the main tourist destinations of the inhabitants of Cali. From the People Pance up area known as the Maelstrom is a good number of restaurants and recreational parks.
El Rio Pance is very cold with temperatures below 15 degrees F. It is famous for its ohauldras which is a tyupical snack in Colombia. Dough is spread across the face of a tree and then placed in a fryer. The ohauldraa turns out to be about 2 feet in diameter and less than 3 millimeters in width. In the Rio Pance there are also buneulos, arepas, empanadas, and different Colombian typical snacks.
